近日，有报道称，在首尔的化妆品商店、东京银座的百货店和巴黎的奢侈品商店，中国游客正在减少。受到影响的公司包括美国运动服装公司耐克、日本化妆品制造商资生堂和英国时尚品牌博柏利集团等。报道介绍，博柏利40%的销售额都来自中国消费者在国内外的消费。资生堂表示，在中国农历新年假期期间，公司旗下四个顶级品牌的在华销售额减少了一半以上。而迪士尼称，如果上海迪士尼乐园再继续关闭两个月，其利润将减少1.35亿美元。
消费趋势咨询公司凯度驻上海的负责人称，中国消费者的消费模式对全球消费趋势都产生影响，在这样全球化环境下，没有人能够不受影响。
当前，疫情对消费的影响已无法避免，但疫情过后，相信会逐步恢复。正如欧莱雅在近日发布2019年财报时所指出，“经过短期震荡，消费会有大幅反弹”。
